War Horse Challenge Rider,
Jake Draper
United States Army, Green Beret
When asked what sparked Jake's interest in the National Stock Horse Association's War Horse Challenge in Las Vegas, Jake shared; " I had a few horses growing up but, didn't get to ride a lot as an adult. I feel that horses and the cowboy lifestyle are a big part of what made America, and I want to be a part of that to keep that part of America alive. The heart of America beats strong in a cowboy. I see that when I get to meet people that support War Horses and it makes my military service mean a little more worthwhile.
Jake's Testimonial
War Horses for SOF
(Special Operation Forces)
"You know, I just love War Horse for SOF, so much. it's part of me and my family. I got involved because I really wanted to give back and be part of a group that works to better themselves and the people around them. It's just like when I was in the military as a green beret, pushing myself and those around me to be their best. When I found out about this program and the opportunity to ride, I knew it was something I had to be a part of. It's a chance to learn something new and strive for greatness, and that's just so motivating to me. Being part of the War Horse for SOF allows me to continue pushing myself and making a positive impact on those around me.

When I was at WHFSOF the first time I heard a country song by Thomas Rhett called Country Again, I believe that kinda says it all."
